MELBOURNE | Concept

Architecture: level-ak

The property at 22 carson street is currently vacant.  It is under a commercial zone 1 and is part of 8 mixed use shopping strip subdivision. The shopping strip itself accommodates both shops and dwellings built in faced bricks or rendered elevations. The property faces Carson street on the Southwest, Lindenow Street on the Northwest, the laneway on the Northeast and 20 Carson Street on the Southeast. Refer to AP2.1 on the architectural drawings for a more detailed summary on the uses.

The land sits on the Northwest corner of this subdivision. This shopping strip is surrounded predominantly by single dwellings. The 174m2 rectangular land is flat falling slightly to the back laneway.

The neighbourhood character of the surrounding area is homogenous with single detached dwellings constructed from bricks or weatherboards with tile pitched roofs. Most of them are single storey but there are some two-storey dwellings throughout the area. Unit developments as well exists in the surrounding area as in Mahoneys Road.
